Many thanks to Dee, Zoe and Rob Shirlaw for their great performance not only preparing the food in the Galley but for spending hours decorating the Club Room for our annual Halloween Spooktacular.

Sad to report Marie Bain passed away September 25/19. Her son Ted will be making arrangements for a service towards the end of October.

Laura and Mike Vanderkruk ,members of the CNVA and also on the executive of the Veterans Association Food Bank were in attendance to explain how successful the Food Bank has been and plans for the future growth. Thanks to all the Shipmates for making this day a big success with your generous donations.

It was good to see Bill Buchanan visit some Shipmates at the Corvette Club after a long absence, thanks to his daughter Brenda for bringing him down.

NLCC John A Hamilton thanks those CNVA members who donated to help them buy Santa hats. They wore those hats for a Christmas concert at the Colonel Belcher.
Very sad to report the passing of our President Paris Sahlen in the early morning of December 29th with his family by his side. He will be sorely missed as a long time and respected member of the CNVA and Naval community. Further details to follow when they become available.
